33-year old Ricardo Scimeca sees his future at Ninian Park.

Scimeca has played just two matches this season for promotion-chasing Cardiff, the low number attributable to both injury and the impressive form of first-choices Stephen McPhail, Paul Parry, Gavin Rae and Joe Ledley.

However Scimeca told the South Wales Echo, "I would love to stay with Cardiff and I am in talks with the manager and chairman".

"I had a bad time when I was out injured, but now I feel back to where I was before that. I'm feeling good, I've been in full training for a while and I will be ready when needed.

"It's frustrating for every footballer when you are not playing regularly. We are all in this together, though, and our aim is to earn promotion to the Premier League."
