Bullard plans lengthy Hull City stay
09:12 PM 02 April, 2009
Jimmy Bullard is desperate to prove his worth to Hull City Football Club.

The £5million record club signing played just 37 minutes of his debut before being struck down with a knee injury which has ruled him out of the rest of the season.

"I just want to give Hull all the support they've given me. Because I'm not involved, it feels like I'm letting people down. I'm on pay-back already,” said Bullard.

"I know the fans will think, 'he's had an injury there before and now we've gone and signed a wrong one'. I can understand that but I can only prove to them that it's not the same problem.

"I know after last time that I will come back. When I signed the contract it was because I wanted to be a Hull player. It's four-and-a-half years and more, so long as they want me."
