Brandon will have an ankle operation which will rule him out until January. 32-year old Brandon is yet to start for the club in a competitive match since joining the Bantams in the summer.

"I didn't want to have the op but it's for the best," Brandon told the Telegraph and Argus.

"Of course it's a massive frustration but it's one of those things and I hope to be back in time to still have a real part to play."

Brandon was released by Huddersfield Town at the end of last season.
