Feyenoord defender Theo Lucius is available on a free transfer and reports suggest both Blackburn and Bolton are interested.

The 32-year-old defender told Voetbal International: "I have never made a secret of my ambition to play abroad.

"In Holland I have not much else to win, after PSV Eindhoven and Feyenoord.

"I will concentrate on Feyenoord and I will see which clubs contact my agent Ger Lagendijk.

"I don't think it will be Manchester United, but a good club from England or Germany would be nice. It's now or never."

He added: "Think about it, if Feyenoord had taken up the option in my contract, then I would have been a free agent a season later, at 33 years old.

"That is for many clubs less interesting.

"I am 32 now and should be able to play for another three years. Exactly the period which most clubs use for their contracts."
