McGregor not finished at Rangers?
09:00 PM 05 April, 2009
Walter Smith is prepared to give Allan McGregor a final chance at Ibrox following his week of shame while with Scotland, but Barry Ferguson remains headed for the exit door.

"They both deserved everything that came their way after that performance midweek," a club source told the Sunday Mail.

"Walter's equally furious with them both but he sees McGregor's position differently to Ferguson's.

"Barry's burned his bridges but there could still be a way back for McGregor.

"Whether he's got the good sense to take it is another matter."

Both men were missing as Rangers kept the SPL title race alive with a narrow win at Falkirk on Sunday.

"We're delighted to get the win, since it's always awkward at Falkirk," said boss Smith afterwards.

"But it was a frustrating performance. We didn't pass the ball well and never got any consistency of possession.

"We defended well, especially at the end when we were put under a bit of pressure as they went more direct.

"We had a few opportunities on the break but squandered them with our final ball."
