Yossi Benayoun is confident Liverpool won’t end the season empty-handed.

The Reds are a point behind Manchester United in the title race, although the men from Old Trafford also have a game in hand over their big rivals.

Rafael Benitez’s side face Chelsea in the UEFA Champions League quarter-final, and Benayoun is confident he and his team-mates can continue their push for glory.

"We're very confident but we have to think now only about the next game,” said the Israel international. "Every season is a test for Liverpool. You need to try to do your best.

"It's true that in the past few seasons we weren't in the race for the title but we've shown a lot of character in the last few games in the Champions League.”
