Steve Sidwell can’t wait to get a run of games for Aston Villa Football Club.

The £5.5million signing from Chelsea has yet to play in the Premier League for his new side due to calf and knee injuries, but he has finally resumed full training and is raring to go.

“To get these setbacks has been a blow for me after deciding to move to Aston Villa but hopefully there is now some light at the end of the tunnel,” said the former Reading star.

"You want to make an impression when you move clubs and it will be good if I can make up eventually for lost time. The club is really buzzing at the moment, and it is an exciting place to be."
