Blues striker returns to St Andrews
Striker Gary McSheffrey's loan spell at Nottingham Forest has been curtailed by a knee injury.
McSheffrey is returning to Birmingham City to have surgery and the 26-year-old, who missed five months of the season with the injury, played four games during his stay at Forest.
"He is one we will look at, because he has a lot of talent," Forest boss Billy Davies told This is Nottingham.co.uk
"He is a first class professional and we will see what happens in the summer."
"He has decided to go and have an operation on his knee to clean it out and get things sorted.
"Gary is now working to make sure he is ready for the first day of the new season."
