Barnsley defender Bobby Hassell has signed a new contract keeping him at the club until 2012.

The 28-year-old has made more than 180 appearances for for Barnsley since arriving from Mansfield in 2004.

Barnsley manager Simon Davey told the club website, "I am delighted that Bobby has signed for another three years. We are very happy he is staying at Oakwell."

Bobby Hassell is currently Barnsley's longest serving player.
