Portsmouth Football Club hope to take Giovani Dos Santos next season.

The Mexican international was a high-profile signing for Tottenham Hotspur last summer, but former Pompey boss Harry Redknapp has sent him to Ipswich Town on loan.

As much as the White Hart Lane boss rates the former Barcelona youngster, it remains uncertain if the player fits into his long-term plans at the club.

Redknapp left Fratton Park in controversial circumstances last year, but he can help mend bridges by agreeing to let Giovani move to the South Coast on loan next term.
