Wolves opened up a five-point gap at the top of the Championship with a 3-0 win over troubled Southampton on Friday at Molineux.
Wolves were three up at half-time and eased home against a Southampton club facing relegation on the field and financial peril off it.
Sam Vokes, Jody Craddock and David Jones scored in the first 19 minutes with Vokes scoring after just 32 seconds.
Craddock extended the lead with a header from Jones' cross and Jones all-but sealed the win with a penalty after David Edwards was fouled.
