Arsenal manager can’t overstate Djourou blow
04:05 PM 13 April, 2009
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has described Johan Djourou’s injury as a ‘massive blow’.

With William Gallas out for the rest of the season the last thing the Gunners needed was another injury, but Djourou now faces a spell on the sidelines after picking up a knee problem on Saturday.

"We are feeling a little stretched. That injury to Djourou is a massive blow to us," said Wenger. "We lost Gallas last week and now Djourou. We cannot afford to lose any more players in the centre of defence."

Arsenal face Villarreal in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final on Wednesday, before taking on Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final on Saturday afternoon.

AW-It is unfortunate but true.Get real. Now!! Play Adebayor in Centre of defence until Johan Djourou recovers. You have the croat to slit open any opponent alongside RVP. You should have a smooth end to the season with FA and CL titles. Talk to Ade and the team. You will be a winner in 2009.
