Federico Macheda is set to be offered a new contract at Manchester United Football Club.

The 17-year-old Italian has had an amazing impact on the Reds in the past week, with two goals in as many games earning six points against Aston Villa and Sunderland.

This has kept United at the top of the Premier League table, and they will reward the former Lazio youngster with a new five-year deal as soon as he turns 18-years-old in August.

"I think Manchester will ask us to sign a five-year deal and I think that would be logical because it makes no sense to lose a lad at 21. We haven't talked about figures,” agent Giovanni Bia told Sky Italia.
