Arsenal, Liverpool & Spurs in hunt for €15m centre back?
03:17 PM 15 April, 2009
Genoa's failure to seal a deal for Juventus' Domenico Criscito could see Arsenal, Liverpool and Spurs putting in bids of their own for the Italy U-21 international.

Genoa have enjoyed having their former player back on loan, but may lack the necessary funds to make the deal permanent.

Juventus paid €7.5m for the remaining 50% of the rights to Criscito in 2007, so will at least double that to sell the 22-year-old lock, stock and barrel.

Genoa supremo Enrico Preziosi has revealed that his club have first option on the defender, if they pay the fee already agreed with Juventus.

“We do have the right to agree a permanent deal for Criscito," Preziosi told Radio Radio.

“Juventus can't trample on Genoa. We aren't a little team from the provinces and any deal has to be agreed by both sides.”

Further delays may see Arsenal, Liverpool and Spurs stepping into the breach for the highly-rated six-footer, who can also play at left back or on the left side of midfield.
