Craig Gordon insists results are all that matter to Sunderland Football Club.

The Black Cats have hit rocky form at precisely the wrong time of the season and find themselves just two points and one place above the relegation zone.

"We need to roll up our sleeves and get on with it," Gordon told the Sunderland Echo. "We managed to survive last year by doing that and we have the experience of that to call upon.

"We might not be the prettiest team to watch between now and the end of the season but it is all about getting results. We've still got time to put things right. It's still in our own hands."
