Mark Schwarzer was in fine form for Fulham Football Club as he returned to the Riverside Stadium.

The goalkeeper returned to Middlesbrough for the first time since joining the Cottagers in the summer, and he produced a wonderful save to deny former team-mate Tuncay Sanli on 47 minutes.

"He made a great save," said Fulham manager Roy Hodgson. "It was a wonderful header, great cross came in, met it brilliantly and it was a wonderful save.

"Apart from that he was very, very secure right the way through the game. A lot of high and long balls were coming into the box and it's good to have Mark Schwarzer in those situations."
