A Kanu goal on 78 minutes was enough to beat Bolton Wanderers at Fratton Park, a result which lifts Pompey six points clear of the relegation zone with six games remaining.

"We were desperate for it. It takes us to five unbeaten and we've lost one in eight," boss Paul Hart told Sky Sports. "We're hard to beat. We've got three points which makes it a little bit better, but it's not finished.”
