Mohamed Al-Fayed has labelled Fulham Football Club as the best club in the world.

It has been suggested that the Cottagers owner is looking to sell the Londoners, but he has hit back at these claims by underling his love for the rapidly-improving Premier League side.

"I own the best club in the world, with the best team and the best fans," Al-Fayed said on the official club website. "I want to reassure people of this, because sometimes there are naughty rumours that I may sell the club."
