Rough Guide to The Hawthorns
Fancying a trip to The Hawthorns? Well no need to fret about this journey as the Albion is dead easy to find… trust me! And there is rarely trouble either (unlike our tatter counterparts) so families will enjoy the day out and leave happy with 3 points!
The Stadium has come on substantially over the last few years. The Birmingham Road and The Smethwick End were both redeveloped when the Taylor report was released which left just one old cronky stand, the Rainbow.
The Rainbow Stand as it used to be called was re-built over last season and the summer. In it's place now is a magnificent 8000 capacity cantilever stand named the East Stand.
Capacity has been restored after the missing stand last season and we can now hold 28,000. Not as many as some sides but based on performance and league placings it does the trick.
